Girls in Trouble is an indie-folk song cycle about the complicated lives of women in Torah. Alicia draws on her unique background as a musician, writer and feminist Torah teacher to mine the complex and fascinating stories of Biblical women, exploring the hidden places where their lives overlap with our own.

In addition to the songs, Alicia has created The Girls in Trouble Curriculum, which includes one study guide for each Biblical character. Each one is chock-full of deep dives into the original texts behind the songs, with lyrics, personal essays by Alicia, and creative prompts for you to make your own interpretations, no background needed! These are primarily geared towards teens and adults, and can be used as a self-study course, in small groups, or in classrooms. They come as a digital download, available individually or bundled.
